Littlehorn Clothing Company
Our motto is schoolyard cheeky, it reads ‘pickin’ it , lickin’ it , rolling it and flicking it’… It has been said that Littlehorn could best be described as tongue planted firmly within cheek. Drawing off inspirations of adult fashion, popular culture, music and graphic design, Littlehorn started as a range of graphic tee's and sweats... No subject too tough, too cheeky or too cute. Now they have expanded into all categories within girls, boys, babies and accessories.
Littlehorn, sweetly eccentric and unusual kids clothing made with love for babies, boys and girls.
Minti
Conveying a quirky side to kids wear, Minti has provided infant and kids wear with a much needed dose of cool and comfort...
Minti serves up a collection of clever graphics and prints on deluxe cotton garments through to more intricate collection pieces. And without fail, every season, they surprise us with something even more directional, clever and fun.
They continue to stay true to their ethos - “would I wear that if I was small” when creating new ranges, and have evolved over the last few years in Australia to be one of the edgiest but wearable labels on the market.
Peggy
Peggy was created out of a need for affordable, easy wearing but pretty baby girl's clothes.
The ranges feature vintage inspired prints in beautifully complementing colours on woven cotton dresses, kaftans, nappy covers and hats.
Peggy was named after the Melbourne designer's grandmother, and aims to keep an air of 'old fashioned whimsicality' in its gorgeous designs.
Tutu Du Monde
German-born Andrea Rembeck has enjoyed a distinguished career in the Australian fashion industry.
This formidable fashion force has now launched her new label for children, Tutu Du Monde, on her quest to create the perfect tutu.
She says, ‘for me, a greener and more sustainable future is an imperative - rather than a political - position. I wanted to create a tutu that left a light footprint.’ Now she has a range of tutus that are wearable and practical, insouciant and dreamy…
‘My tutus have a hand-made, hand dyed, one-off, old-world feel without the frail nature of a vintage garment. Colours are dusty pastels, with details of sequins, beads and feathers, applied by hand to cotton and tulle. My tutus are produced in small runs, in line with their organic look.
They are made to last, and in fact, get better with wear. Slight fading and fraying edges adds to their charm over time.’
At last there is a line of tutus that call to mind a kinder world, a gentle place where little children can imagine being a dainty ballerina, a helpful fairy and a benevolent princess.
Wanabe
Simone te Koppele was designing costumes at the tender age of six, creating elaborate outfits from recycled bubble wrap, fashioning hats out of newspaper, and flowers from tissues. Fast-forward a few decades and nothing much has changed for the now mother-of-three, apart from her choice of ‘material’. These days the Dutch dressmaker uses only natural fabrics with enduring quality in her Wanabe Costumes, and the end result is proving incredibly popular with young and old alike. Available throughout Europe and the UK since 2004, Simone’s hand-made designs have now arrived in Australia. The range includes favourites like Little Red Riding Hood, Cowboys and Indians, Robin Hood, Pirates, Witches, Fairies, Knights, and more. So if you’re struggling to shift your kids from the couch, why not inspire their imagination with a game of old-fashioned dress-ups? Prices range from AUD$60 – $80 … a lot cheaper than an Xbox, Wii or PS3!
